This is my first larger work in almost a year and my first doujin that is not a parody, a small landmark in its own right. As I was looking over my past doujin releases, I thought about my long endeavor to do my bit in releasing hentai in English and the disparity that exists in the availability of hentai (and all other Japanese media, for that matter) in other languages. As far as I am aware, of the 22 larger works I have put out as of time of writing, only two other translations of my edits exist: a Spanish version of Attention! And a Russian version of Double Code. There are certainly a number of factors involved in the shocking dearth of other translations, with the large, fairly obvious ones being things like the English proficiency of a given population, the popularity of the artist and the age of the series. However, looking at the issue from the perspective of an editor, I see another problem: the painful process of re-editing.

Re-editing an image ranges from simple yet tedious in the case of grayscale pages to absolutely unreasonable in the case of full color pages with gradients, semi-transparent layers or any other similarly abominable feature. I am unsure when exactly the change happened, but in stark contrast to even a few years ago, when it seemed that English translations would show up first, it would seem that nowadays translations of H-manga first come out in either Chinese or Korean, with English translations lagging behind. I am all too often disappointed to see that H-manga exists in other languages, but not my mother tongue; while the translation always needs to be done by someone, it is frustrating to realize that in order to get something into English, I as an editor would need to redo work. What a senseless waste of effort it is to do again that which has already been done. I see no reason at all that a new translation should require more editors to squander what little free time we all have and I want to help change that.

Therefore, being confident that my work is generally of high quality and seeing only a positive effect that can come from sharing knowledge and reducing meaningless drudgery, I will henceforth be making public the original Photoshop files to my edits – for both and – on a continuous basis after publication. If you wish to translate something I have already done, this will save you some time. If you are an editor or wish to become one, I hope that getting a glimpse into how I have solved problems will prove educational.
